The summer, and new sounds

Hello everyone,

Things are quieting down over here for a short while! After a few great shows this month (the world premiere of Paola Prestini‘s G-Force for vibraphone and string quartet, a few performances with Jeffrey Zeigler and an appearance with Vicky Chow and Florent Ghys), I’m retreating into my studio to recharge and learn the rest of the music for the summer.

Starting in July, you can catch me at 3 weeks of concerts with the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, and one stellar program apiece at Music@Menlo and the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival.

In other news, I’m excited to share with you all a live recording of one of my favorite pieces taken from earlier this year, Andy Akiho’s monumental LIgNEouS 1. This was recorded at Princeton University back in February with the wonderful Mivos Quartet.

Check it out!
