The Percussion Collective: London

March 28, 2020 @ 7:45 pm - 10:00 pm

| 20-30

The Percussion Collective European Debut

Set off on an ocean voyage at a performance of Garth Neustadter’s Seaborne, a reverent piece that evokes the play of light on water.

The 30-minute tour de force is accompanied by film-maker Kjell van Sice’s poetic aquatic images.

This evening’s world premiere of John Adams’ Hallelujah Junctions for percussion marks the first time an audience hears his extraordinary music in a chamber percussion setting.

Tonight also sees the European debut of Alejandro Viñao’s Stress and Flow for four percussionists and electronics, written specifically for the musical voice of The Percussion Collective.

The Percussion Collective is led by marimba soloist and educator Robert van Sice and made up of a changing roster of dynamic young percussionists.
